Cream Sauce with Avocado
This sauce is bursting with flavor and is relatively easy to create. For optimal results, use a food processor or blender. They incorporate everything ultimately. A mortar and pestle can also be used, but depending on the size, you will need to work in batches.
Ingredients for Sauce
Avocado: Many people believe that avocados are a superfood. It has a pleasant flavor and texture, is very nutrient-dense, and is high in good fats. Below, I’ll explain how to choose a ripe avocado.
Lime Juice: Although I like my lime juice fresh, it’s equally good in a bottle! You may also add more lime juice, up to one whole lime, if you want a thinner sauce.
Cilantro: Although I really enjoy the freshness that cilantro brings to this sauce, you may cut the amount in half or omit it entirely if you would rather have less or no cilantro flavor.
Jalapeño: This adds a lovely fiery kick to the sauce! I advise using only one jalapeño or omitting it if you prefer a bit less heat.
How to Determine the Ripeness of an Avocado
In general, the avocado’s texture is more significant than its appearance. When you gently press into it close to the stem, it should feel soft but not mushy. If a dent appears after pressing, the avocado is probably overripe.
How to Use Cream Sauce with Avocado
This sauce is excellent for tacos, sheet-pan meals, quesadillas, and even just as a dip with tortilla chips! You could also use it as a fantastic salad dressing. Or pick up a spoon!
How to Keep Avocado Cream Sauce Fresh

Store this in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two days. You could notice that the avocado in the sauce starts to color after two days. Placing plastic wrap directly on top of the sauce, allowing as much air to escape as possible, is a tip to slow the browning.
While you gather the ingredients for this fantastic meal, make sure to pick up some extra avocados to create my avocado corn salsa and avocado chicken salad.
